I always tell my patients there are 3 simple ways to start losing weight quickly and easily. I love to see individuals have results soon after they begin eating healthier because this helps boost your confidence and propels your excitement toward achieving a healthy weight.
 Here are my 3 beginning recommendations: Â1. Eat breakfast. For best results, eat a high fiber food paired with a low-fat protein within 1 1/2 hours of waking up.
2. Don’t drink your calories. Cut the soda, coffee creamer, juices, and alcohol as much as possible if not completely. Replace with water, unsweetened tea, black coffee, crystal light, or other calorie free/low calorie beverages.
3. Limit the amount of calorie-dense, nutrient poor foods you consume. Watch the cookies, cakes, candies, butter, ice cream, mayonnaise, etc. You probably get the point. The calories pile up quickly with these foods and do not have a significant effect on the feeling of fullness your body achieves.
I frequently see long-term success when individuals initially follow these simple guidelines. Why?
